Opening Your Account is Simple

Begin by donating assets with a market value of at least $5,000 to the Renaissance Gift Fund. The Fund accepts cash, stocks, mutual funds and bonds, as well as some privately issued securities and hard-to-value assets.

Your licensed investment advisor (see list of partners) can open a brokerage or mutual fund account to invest the cash, securities, mutual funds or proceeds from donated assets. On the fund application this advisor can be recommended as the financial advisor for your donor-advised fund account. You will then receive quarterly statements for your RCGF account. Additional contributions of cash or securities worth $250 or more can be made to your fund at any time.

During the course of each year, you may recommend that the Foundation make grants to public charities that you support. Once the grant has been approved, the amount of the grant will be deducted from your fund account and a check sent to the charity recognizing the donor unless you have requested to remain anonymous.
